The 13th International Conference on the History of Science in China (13^th ICHSC), together with the International Conference on Chinese History of Science and its Interaction with Greek Civilization (ICCHS-IIGC), as part of the series of academic meetings currently organized by the Chinese Society for the History of Science and Technology (CSHST), with the sponsorship from CAST and UNESCO, will be hosted by the Hellenic Open University of Greece and held in Athens, Greece, between 22 and 27 July 2012.

The theme of the Conferences is “History of Science and Technology in China: The perspective of Interacting Civilizations”.

In particular, the following topics will be the focus of our conferences:

1. Civilizations’ interaction and comparative studies in science and technology;

2. Studies in ancient Chinese literature concerning science, technology and medicine;

3. Traditional technology and the intangible cultural and scientific heritages in the world.

4. Chinese and Greek Civilizations: Similarities and Comparisons in the fields of Science, Technology and Philosophy.

The Registration, Abstract and Accommodation Forms could be downloaded in the web site of CSHSC.

The Registration Fee for participant covers conference document, tea/coffee services every day, one welcoming reception (drinks and snacks) and one banquet-gala dinner at the Hotels’ rooftop terrace overlooking the Acropolis; accompanying persons are also welcome to the reception and banquet.

The Lists of Conference Advisors, Scientific Committee, Organizing Committee, and other scientific activities will be announced in the Second Circular.
